Travelling, Ticket to happiness.
Day to day life and a fixed routine make humans turn into robots. We get bored or depressed even if we are making good money and have a beautiful life, after all, we are humans, we are alive.
Making a good routine and organizing your life is a good thing, but continuing to do that month after month makes us less interested and eventually less productive. It’s necessary to have a few days or months where you can enjoy lazy breakfast, a slow walk in nature. These breaks keep us motivated to do more in life and to be happy. Money can make you happy, but it also depends on where you spend your earnings.
Many studies have proven that traveling has several benefits to our psychological and physical health. Traveling decreases the chances of heart and mental diseases. You create a lot of memories when traveling. If you are connected with, God spiritually here’s what bible says about traveling:
“The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and you’re coming in from this time forth and forevermore”-
Although the benefits of traveling are enormous, let’s discuss the more promising ones to give you motivation and convince you to consider traveling for your health and spiritual benefits.
As I mentioned earlier, all of us face tension and stress in our daily life routines. There are particular work and family pressures, deadlines, and struggle to meet both ends to keep our life balanced make us tired. When you disconnect from your routine, it provides us time to appreciate the things we have. Thanking God also makes us more peaceful and blessed.
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.”- Colossians 3:15
You get smarter and improvement in socializing skills.
You get out of your comfort zone to unfamiliar lands and get your first interactions with new languages. Your native language is unknown or is not the primary medium of communication for the country you visit. This way, you learn how to communicate with others better, given that they don’t know your language. The presence of mind is another excellent gift your get from traveling; it boosts your confidence levels.
Also, you pick up the most common phrases and words of their language. A wise man once said: knowing another language is equal to having another soul.” When you learn or start picking up another language, some studies have shown the brain starts functioning better.
Traveling is full of uncertainty, and no one can avoid those situations. You are in a strange land surrounded by strangers. None of your speed dial contacts is available here. In these situations, the decisions you make to tackle these problems, trust people, and be patient through the process make you more flexible and patient and improve problem-solving skills.
Let’s see what the bible says about being flexible:
“I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance, and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Yet it was kind of you to share my trouble”. – Philippians 4:12-1
When you are traveling, you create hundreds or thousands of memories. That’s not the end of it, and there’s more. When you visit with groups of friends or family, maybe with a loved one, traveling makes your bond more durable as they become the part of those memories you created that they are going to stay with you for the rest of your life.
Moreover, those memories and stories make you a more interesting person, when you are sitting in groups or meet new people, you always have something to share, something to talk about.
When you get old, you will have the chance to become a cool grandparent who always has stories and experiences.
Knowing yourself while having fun
You can free the child in yourself, do whatever you want to, and take all the burdens; this is the ultimate freedom. You don’t have to care what people will think; this way, you can unleash your true self. When you return from your trip, you find yourself more focused, and your goals are more transparent.
Food, Culture, Living Style
Traveling expands your vision; you taste local foods in another country and see their culture and the ways of living. If your primary source of information is the news, then, believe me, you are missing out a lot. Going to other countries develops a sense of respect for other people. Accepting and respecting others makes us better and smarter. Meeting new people hearing their stories makes us forget our struggles in life and urge us to thank God for what we have.
Let’s talk about food, don’t trick yourself saying you know what ramen tastes like only because you have a Japanese restaurant in your city. Believe me, you never know about the cuisines unless you visit that country and have it from a local place. You may find your next favorite dish or a healthy alternative breakfast that will become part of your routine.
If you are an entrepreneur, you may find many new business ideas that you can take back with you and implement them in your country.
You still want to stay home and lay in bed. Well, I doubt that.
Believe me, and if you can, you will never regret the money you spent on travel. That money is an investment in yourself, and also you will never have to take boring pschactrest sessions and to pay for that.
The world is like a book; if you don’t travel, it means you only read one page. The information and experience you get by traveling make you realize the world Is a much better place than what they say on TV.
