Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” 3 John 1
The desire of God is His sons and daughters to be balanced in every aspect of life. The prosperity He delights for His children is an all-round prosperity, with sound health.
When a child return home with the sore sheet of his performance in school, there is this joy that overflows from the parents when the child has done well in every subject. You see such parents proudly talking about or showing the child’s score sheets to others. That is how your all round victory brings glory to God.
When you are a balanced Christian, spiritually sound and physically, standing, God is proud of you and boasts of you as He did about Job, saying…….. “Job was perfect and upright man, one that feareth God and escheweth evil”. (Job 1:8) Who had seven sons and three daughters and had a very great household with his substance, described as being very great.
Our perfect example Jesus, while on earth displayed the perfect example of being balanced. What He denied himself of was in order for us whom He came to redeem, to have them. Spiritually, he was so excellent, physically there was nothing that speaks of lack, when he was born , all he needed from his birth to burial (gold, frankincense, and myrrh) was given to him, they cast lot for his robe on the cross. Child of God, refuse any form of limitation in your life. God delights in making you balanced.
PRAY
My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me to be a balanced Christian.
