“Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.”—James 1:12
Let us tell ourselves the truth, no man is immune to temptation, unless you have no desires. Even Jesus, who was God in the flesh, was tempted; the issue really is what to do with it. In this material, we would try to analyze according to God’s word why temptation happens and why it is important that we stand tall. There are a lot of misconceptions about the subject matter, and we would try to help you see where these misconceptions are exaggerated and how they do not apply to our normal lives.
Knowledge is the number one equipment you have against any form of temptation. What you know arms you against, what you do not know. The temptation is not “foreign” to man; in fact, because you are a man, you would get tempted. In fact, there is no temptation you are experiencing that someone else did not experience and have overcome it.
“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”—1 Corinthians10:13.
Your temptation is not unique to you; it is something other might be going through; that means if they can overcome it, you can too. There are bible examples of people who overcame temptation and these guys stand as our pattern to follow.
If they could withstand it, you too can. They give us hope against all hope and strength against all the odds. This is why their examples were documented in the bible in the first place.
This book will help you discipline your flesh and build your spirit man. After reading this book, not only will you be physically transformed, spiritually you will be strong. This book will definitely change your life!
